West Milford Rotary Club Launches “Flags for Heroes” Campaign
Honoring veterans, first responders, service members, and everyday heroes
WEST MILFORD, NJ — The West Milford Rotary Club is proud to announce the launch of this year’s Flags for Heroes campaign, an annual tribute that gives community members the opportunity to honor the people who have inspired them through courage, sacrifice, service, and love.
For a $25 donation, individuals may dedicate a flag in honor of a personal hero. Honorees may include:
Veterans
Active-duty service members
Police officers
Firefighters
EMS professionals
Teachers, mentors, family members, friends, or anyone who has made a meaningful impact
This year, the tribute will be even more personal. Participants will have the opportunity to submit a photo of their hero, allowing the Rotary Club to share their stories and faces on the West Milford Rotary Club website and Facebook page. These shared tributes will help the community connect more deeply with the individuals being honored.
“Behind every hero is a story,” said the West Milford Rotary Club. “Some are stories of service and sacrifice, while others are stories of love, encouragement, and quiet strength. Flags for Heroes gives our community a meaningful way to say thank you and ensure those stories are remembered.”
The campaign invites residents to help fill West Milford with flags and stories of gratitude, remembrance, and inspiration.
Submissions must be received by October 20, 2026.
